University Tips: First Years!

HEY GUUUUUUYS! 

So as you guys know (if you've been reading my posts) that I'm currently at the end of my first year in university! I remember my first day like it was yesterday because I was absolutely terrified about moving away from home and having to do everything for myself.. I've most definitely moved forward from that this year & I'll be living with my friends in a house next year! 

Let's get started shall we?

1: If you're moving away from home, I'd say live in halls for the first year! It is a better way to adapt to living away and you meet so many people! It's one experience i'll never regret regardless of how much drama happens! You get to know a variety of different people & you may meet your new bestfriend's here! If you're staying at home for uni, it's not a bad thing.. you can still meet people through your course and such.. 

2:  GO TO ALL THE EVENTS ON FRESHERS WEEK! You meet a lot of people and you can join societies and interact with people who have the same interests! There will be people you will clash with, and ones that you'll get annoyed with quickly but that's life; you can't like everyone! 

3: Enjoy all the events and take advantage of all the discounts given out! As a student, you can get discounts in many stores and restaurants so make sure you know if you can! It will be savior when you decide you want to revamp your wardrobe in the middle of the year. 

4: GET YOUR WORK DONE! Don't procrastinate so much that you end up spending 15 hours in the library the night and morning before your deadlines! Do the work bit by bit so you're not as stressed when it comes to handing it in! Make sure to READ through it BEFORE handing it! 

5: If you're living out.. Don't bring your whole wardrobe with you, You won't need it and you won't wear all of it! You probably won't have all that much space anyway & if you're an excessive over-shopper like most students, you'll end up buying an entire wardrobe's worth whilst your in uni anyways! 

6: Don't worry about making friends.. 98% of people are in the same damn boat as you! You'll soon make new friends and usually after spending a few nights out with them or being drunk, you'll realise who you get on with best!
